The first assembly of the RSPP working group on entrepreneurship in culture led by Mikhail Simonyan took place on May 23, 2017

The first assembly of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs working group on entrepreneurship in culture took place on May 23, 2017. The working group was created in accordance with the RSPP President Mikhail Shokhin's order of 10 October 2016.

Mikhail Simonyan, the chairman of the working group, identified its key targets: interaction between authority and business in realization of the government policies and legislative regulation in arts and culture sector, establishment of a constructive dialogue between the government, business society and public organizations, participation in development and improvement of the Russian Federation legislations in the field of culture with a view to stimulating the patronage activity.

The group, in particular, was composed of the outstanding figures in russian arts, representatives of the major cultural institutions, including the People's Artist of Russia Sergey Andriyaka, director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts Marina Loshak, director of the Moscow State Academic Operetta Theatre Vladimir Tartakovsky, head of the Pyatnitsky Russian Folk Chorus Alexander Permyakov, composer Victor Rybnikov, artistic director and chief of the Igor Moiseev State Academic Ensemble of Popular Dance Elena Scherbakova.
