The Open Sea Foundation  has become a partner of the  "KINOSHOCK" Film Festival

The agreement on co-cooperation/The Relationship Agreement was signed  between  Cultural and Educational Programs Foundation "Open Sea" and the organizers of "KINOSHOCK" Festival  on October 16, 2015. Parties were represented by the president Mikhail Simonyan, on one hand, and  the vice-president of the  Film Festival, Soviet and Russian film and stage actress, Honored Artist of Ukraine Irina Shevchuk, on the other.

Concerning the matter, Mikhail Simonyan said : "I am confident that our cooperation will be the most fruitful, and most importantly - useful.  It is always such a pleasure to discover and support young talents, and  promoting the national culture gives us even the greater pleasure.   I am happy that we are partners. In fact, The "Kinoshock" Film Festival opens up new opportunities for those who are taking their first steps in the cinema. "

The "Kinoshock" Film Festival  is one of the largest Russian cinematographic festivals. It has been held in Anapa since 1991.  The Festival highlights  the latest films.  The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The competition program includes several nominations: full-length feature films, shorts, children's and animated films. 

The Grand Prix of the film festival is the "Golden Vine" , which is awarded for the best feature film producer.

The prizes are also awarded in other categories, like the Best Film Director, Best Cameraman, Best Actress, best actor, etc.

The founder of the festival is Irina Shevchuk.

Irina Shevchuk (born 1951) is an Honored Artist of Ukraine, Vice-President of the Guild of Russian film actors, general director of the creativity center "Kinoshock" and the eponymous film festival. She dreamed of an acting career since her school years. She passed successfully exam tests in VGIK (Russian State University of Cinematography), and began acting  in films while still a student. When Irina was in her third year, she was offered the role of a fearless Rita in the  renowned film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet". After the release of the film the young actress became famous, and her acting talent was recognized by millions of our compatriots. Irina Shevchuk is not only a gifted actress, she is committed to supporting young  promising artists and filmmakers. As the festival founder she is always happy to forge contacts with reliable partners, now the Open Sea Foundation is one of them. 

One of the primary activities of the Foundations is  participation  in festivals' organization and production.  President Mikhail Simonyan engages talented musicians and artists, well-known politicians and businessmen.

Mikhail Simonyan is an outstanding violinist. At the age of 19 his talent was internationally recognized by remarkable musicians of our time.
